about

This is a single actually, the first I ever released. It differs from the album version in that I am joined by the lovely Tania Davies who sings the bvs with me.
Both songs had their own videos (the City Song video is included as a bonus) but sadly, the one made for Mr Anfenger has been lost to time...
The album/single was a huge departure for me at the time. All I had ever been known for was my part of being the frontman of X seminal Australian punk band. The idea of using White Cross as a backing band was to my mind, an inspired choice. We were all good friends - and neighbours - as it happened, living in the wonderfully green tree lined streets of Elwood. I lived in Milton St and Pete and Ashley lived in Tennyson St! How deliciously poetic.
The album and single were released in 1987 on the Rampant Label. It was pretty well received and we did quite a few shows around Melbourne's clubs and pubs. Generally a splendid time was had by one and all.

about

Steve Lucas St Kilda, Australia

Steve Lucas has had a wide and varied career. Starting out in 1977, Steve was one of the founding members of the seminal Australian punk bands X.
X's bloodied history has been well known so we'll skip that here.
Steve also fronted Bigger Than Jesus, Double Cross and The Groody Frenzy. All very successful in their own right.
His latest release Change Poison, Make Medicine is now available online.
