‘How Can I Sing The Blues’
This was another song that I wrote in my head while nowhere near home. We were at a birthday lunch and I was thinking about the blues and if I had any right to sing them. I was and still am, in a very happy place and wondering how on earth I was going to get into the blues. Everything I had, as well as things I didn’t have, worked in my favour. The only solution was to write a song about not having anything to moan about. This was recorded piecemeal in the same manner as ‘Cross That Line’. It was a simple matter of letting nature take its course. It had fun with the vocals doing close harmony and then adding a bit of bass harmony toward the end. Simple says it all.
